I want to be YOUR next District Attorney in Bell County, Texas.  I am pro law enforcement and pro second amendment.  I want to be tough on crime while handling cases more quickly and efficiently.

I was born in Midland, Texas and graduated from Kingwood High School in Northeast Houston.  I graduated from The University of Oklahoma in 1993 with a B.S. in Construction Science.  

I worked as a construction manager for Lennar Homes and a sales representative for Hertz Equipment Rental for a few years before going to law school.  I graduated with my J.D. degree from The University of Mississippi.

I have been at Corbin, Stapler & Clapper – Attorneys in Killeen since 2007. I have practiced primarily criminal law for the last 20 years. As a criminal law attorney I practice in federal and state courts from Georgetown to Waco. I have a lot of experience in many different venues. I want to bring the best practices from all around the area to Bell County. 

My goal is to make the Bell County District Attorney’s Office the best in the State of Texas. I want to handle cases faster and more efficiently from intake to resolution.

I want people to know that just because I have practiced as a defense attorney for 20 years, I am not soft on crime. I am a life long Republican. I strongly support law enforcement and the second amendment. People that commit crimes need to be held accountable and violent criminals need to be punished. I want the D.A.’s office to have the best possible relationship with it’s local law enforcement partners.  I have been endorsed by the Temple Police Officers Association.

It should be easy for Law Enforcement to file cases.  Defense attorneys should get discovery quickly and completely. Cases should be brought to court and disposed of as quickly and efficiently as possible.  The law should be used to keep the people of Central Texas safe where they live and work.

I have been the managing partner of Corbin, Stapler & Clapper for the last several years. I have experience managing an office consisting of multiple attorneys and support staff. At Corbin, Stapler & Clapper we have fostered a teamwork mentality that I want to bring to the District Attorney’s Office.

I live in Harker Heights with my wife Wendy and two children William and Britton.
